How long does pre-order take?

Pre-orders usually take 4–6 weeks.

We’re constantly producing new rugs though, so sometimes they land sooner — around 1–3 weeks if you get lucky.

Good things take time. These aren’t mass-produced.

How do I clean my rug?

Treat it like you would a fresh tattoo — take care of it and it’ll last for years.

Vacuum regularly
Give it a proper vacuum to remove dust and loose dirt. No aggressive brush heads — keep it gentle.

Spot clean spills
If something spills, don’t panic.
Blot (don’t scrub) with a clean cloth and a mild soap + water solution. Scrubbing can damage the fibres and distort the design.

Deodorise naturally
Sprinkle baking soda over the rug, leave it for a few hours, then vacuum it up.

Deep clean (when needed)
For a full refresh, use a professional rug cleaner. If you’re renting a carpet cleaner, follow the instructions carefully and avoid over-soaking.

Dry properly
Air dry flat in a well-ventilated space. Avoid direct sunlight for long periods — just like tattoo ink, strong UV can cause fading over time.

Look after it, and your rug will age beautifully.

 

How do I request a custom design rug?

Custom rugs are booked directly through the Custom Rug listing on our website.

Add your:

  • Size

  • Design reference (upload your image)

  • Any specific notes

After checkout, our team will review your idea and get in touch to confirm feasibility and next steps.


I just placed an order — when will it ship?

If your rug is in stock, we’ll ship it within 3 working days.
Delivery usually takes up to 5 days after dispatch.

If your rug is made to order, production takes up to 6 weeks.
Most customers receive their rug around week 4.

You’ll receive a tracking number as soon as your order ships.

If you haven’t received tracking after 7 working days (and your item was in stock), email us at inkedrugs@gmail.com and we’ll sort it.

 

I’m not in love with my order — can I return it? What if there’s an issue?

If your rug arrives damaged or defective, we offer a 100% money-back guarantee. You have 30 days to return it for a full refund.

If you simply change your mind, you’re welcome to return the rug within 30 days — but return shipping costs are your responsibility.

Please note:

  • Returns must be sent back to the UK

  • Import duties / tariff charges are non-refundable (these are paid to your local government, not to us)

  • Include your name and order number inside the parcel so we can process it quickly

  • If your order is already in transit, you’ll need to wait for it to arrive before returning it

Once we receive the rug back in its original condition, we’ll issue your refund.


Can I cancel my order?

Yes — you can cancel your order at no cost as long as it hasn’t shipped yet.

If your order has already been dispatched, you’ll need to wait for it to arrive and return it using our returns process.

For made-to-order rugs, cancellations are handled slightly differently.
If production has already started (within the 4–10 week production window), a 50% refund will be issued to cover materials and labour already committed.

 


I entered the wrong address — what should I do?

If you’ve misspelled or autofilled the wrong address, reply to your order confirmation email as soon as possible with the correct details.

We can update your shipping address within 24 hours of placing your order.

After 24 hours, your order may already be processed or dispatched, and we won’t be able to guarantee changes or refunds due to incorrect address submission.

We ship worldwide.

Delivery times vary depending on your location, but most orders arrive within 3–5 business days once dispatched.

You’ll receive full tracking details as soon as your rug ships.
